This year, both Associations reached out to the Children's Crisis Center. ASA and K-9 will be hosting over 100 underprivileged children. Santa will greet the children and present them each with a toy. Each child will also have his or her photo taken with Santa.

The ASA and K-9 Team Members plan to present the Children’s Crisis Center with toys and items that were collected through donations and contributions. The ASA established the toy drive to provide needy and underprivileged children of the Stanislaus County Region with toys so they may enjoy Christmas and the holidays.

Modesto Ranked in Top 10 of Digital Cities Survey

The City of Modesto has once again been ranked as one of the top 10 most technology-advanced cities in the 2012 Digital Cities Survey published by the Center for Digital Government.  The award presented at the National League of Cities annual Congress of Cities in Boston, MA, surveys and examines results achieved by cities, via the use of technology, in operating efficiencies and realizing strategic objectives despite current fiscal constraints.  Modesto has received this prestigious award since 2009.

“Collaboration within our public and private partnerships have enabled Modesto to utilize technology to support smarter, faster and leaner government processes,” said Bryan Sastokas, Chief Information Officer for the City of Modesto.  “It is exciting for the City to be recognized for our use of technology to promote new platforms of innovation in government operations and public service delivery.”
