Stanislaus County Air Support Association Christmas Toy Drive | Community
The Stanislaus County Air Support Association (ASA) in conjunction with the Stanislaus County Sheriff's K-9 Association, is holding its fifth annual Christmas Toy Drive on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at 9:00 AM at the DC Air Hangar located at 901 Airport Way, in Modesto. This year, both Associations reached out to the Children's Crisis Center. ASA and K-9 will be hosting over 100 underprivileged children. Santa will greet the children and present them each with a toy. Each child will also have his or her photo taken with Santa.
The ASA and K-9 Team Members plan to present the Children’s Crisis Center with toys and items that were collected through donations and contributions. The ASA established the toy drive to provide needy and underprivileged children of the Stanislaus County Region with toys so they may enjoy Christmas and the holidays.
Contributors such as the Empire Sportsman’s Club, Wal-Mart, DC Air, and Storer Coachways continue to sponsor the Children's Toy Drive. Last year their generous contributions helped us reach over 80 children on that special day. In years past, the ASA Team members flew in and visited local area hospitals and provided toys to children who were admitted to the hospital during the holiday season. Additionally, on Christmas day the ASA provided Patrol Deputies with enough toys to fill the trunks of several patrol cars to hand out to children of low-income families.
The toy drive is getting bigger and better each year, and with the help of generous contributors and the hard work of the Air Support and K-9 team members, we will continue to expand and provide for the underprivileged children of Stanislaus County.
