Movie Nights at the Salida Library | Events

Two movie nights are planned at the Nick W. Blom Salida Regional Library this month.

Family Movie Night is Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 6 p.m., featuring “The Pirates! Band of Misfits.” In the animated feature film released earlier this year, Pirate Captain sets out on a mission to defeat his rivals for Pirate of the Year Award. His adventure takes Captain and his crew from the shores of Blood Island to the foggy streets of Victorian London.

In celebration of the library’s centennial anniversary, the Dinner and a Movie through the Decades series continues at the Salida Library at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 26. “True Grit,” the second film adaptation of Charles Portis’ 1968 novel will be shown. Guests are invited to bring a picnic dinner and enjoy the movie.
