Dinner Theater at the Modesto Library

Plan on a night of fun for the whole family with “Dinner Theater” at the Modesto Library on Wednesday, May 8 at 6:30 p.m. Local musician, Chris Doud, will be performing wonderful folk music from his new children’s CD.

Participants will bring their own dinner starting at 6:30 p.m. with the free theater production following at 7 p.m. Dinner Theater, sponsored by the Stanislaus County Library Foundation, through a grant from Omega Nu, is a family program recommended for children ages 6 and older. Advance registration is required as space is limited.

Smart Money @ Your Library

Learn how to better manage your personal finances with Smart Money at the Stanislaus County Library. Several libraries will be offering special financial programming April 17 – 27. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about managing 401Ks, applying for mortgages, saving for the future, establishing savings and checking accounts and more! All programs are free and provide an excellent opportunity to learn from local financial consultants and representatives. Programs are being held:

  • Ceres……………………………………………………………….. Monday, April 22 at 6 p.m.
  • Smart Money/Smart Ideas. A representative from H & R Block will discuss managing a 401K plan, how investing can reduce the amount paid in taxes, and new Health Care law information. This is a bilingual presentation.

Celebrate our multicultural community with Día!: Games Around the World at the Riverbank Library on Saturday, April 27 at 1 p.m.  A biligual Story Time will start the day, followed by ballet folklorico dancers and Hawaiian dancers from the Cultural Center of Riverbank. There will also be crafts, games and light refreshments.
