Anne Schellman, environmental horticulture expert, will discuss the aspects of starting a fall garden at the Modesto Library on Saturday, Sept. 1 at 1 p.m. Participants will learn how to grow exotic vegetables such as kale and Swiss chard, how to save money while gardening, and can have their gardening questions answered. Participants interested in growing their own food will find this event indispensable!
