Shakespeare for All at the Salida Library

Community members will perform “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at the Nick. W. Blom Salida Regional Library on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 3 p.m. This production will be directed by the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival and is sure to be a wonderful performance!

This free program is made possible through a grant from the James Irvine Foundation.

Youth Harp Ensemble at the Modesto Library

Enjoy the beautiful music of the harp at the Modesto Library on Monday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. The Youth Harp Ensemble, directed by Margie Butler, will delight the audience with festive holiday music. Don’t miss this joyful performance!

Bottle Cap Magnet Craft at the Modesto Library

Teens age 12 – 18 will have the opportunity to make bottle cap magnets at the Modesto Library on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 3:30 p.m. Craft programs provide an excellent opportunity for teens to interact with their peers in a safe and fun environment and express their creativity.

Members of the Central West Ballet will demonstrate ballet techniques from “The Nutcracker” at the Modesto Library on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 10:45 a.m. This is a wonderful family friendly event immediately following the Saturday morning StoryTime that begins at 10:15 a.m. Be sure to stop by the Modesto Library for a morning of family fun!

Thanksgiving StoryTime and Craft at the Modesto Library

Enjoy a special StoryTime at the Modesto Library on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 6:15 p.m. and Wednesday, Nov. 21 at 10:15 a.m. Participants will have the opportunity to listen to seasonal stories and music then make a fun Thanksgiving craft. This program provides an excellent opportunity for young children to learn active listening skills and be creative with art materials. Seasonal books will also be on display and available for checkout during the event.

Movie Nights at the Salida Library

Movie Nights at the Salida Library

Two movie nights are planned at the Nick W. Blom Salida Regional Library this month.

Family Movie Night is Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 6 p.m., featuring “The Pirates! Band of Misfits.” In the animated feature film released earlier this year, Pirate Captain sets out on a mission to defeat his rivals for Pirate of the Year Award. His adventure takes Captain and his crew from the shores of Blood Island to the foggy streets of Victorian London.

A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Salida Library

The San Francisco Shakespeare Festival’s Shakespeare on Tour will present “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at the Nick W. Blom Salida Regional Library on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 3:35 p.m. The performance will feature professional actors, sets, and costumes. Following the performance is a question and answer session, as well as, a Playshop with theater games that are designed to engage the audience. Shakespeare enthusiasts will not want to miss this performance!
