Crews get full containment on Penn Fire | News

CALAVERAS COUNTY - Cal Fire is reporting that crews have full containment on a wildfire that burned 134 acres in Calaveras County.
The fire, named Penn Fire started Wednesday afternoon off of Skunk Ranch Road, near Pennsylvania Gulch, CalFire said.
10 people were voluntarily evacuated during the fire, but no homes were destroyed.
A firefighter sustained major injuries while battling the fire when a driver in the area hit the firefighter and a Cal Fire engine. The firefighter underwent surgery and has since been released from the hospital.
Our firefighter underwent surgery last night and is good spirits this morning. He will be reassessed this morning by the surgeon.
