Man killed in south Modesto intersection shooting | News
MODESTO - Police are looking into what lead up to a shooting that killed one person in a Modesto intersection Saturday night.
A man was found dead with at least one gunshot wound in the driver's seat of a car in the intersection of Dallas Avenue and W. Hatch Road at approximately 8 p.m. in the south part of the city, according to Lt. Rick Armendariz.
The Stanislaus County coroner released the victim's name on Monday. He was 54-year-old Atour Daoud, a resident of Modesto.
Investigators have few leads, Armendariz said. They want to hear from anyone who may have been in the area of the intersection just prior to or at the time of the shooting.
